About Accumulation of Annual Leave

Everyone’s annual leave can be carried over each year, provided the following condition is met:

  • Unexpected absences must not exceed an average of 49 days per year, meaning you must work at least 80% of total working days—regardless of the reason.

  • Annual Leave Entitlement by Year of Service

    • On joining the company: 10 days

    • After 1 year: 11 days

    • After 2 years: 12 days

    • After 3 years: 14 days

    • After 4 years: 16 days

    • After 5 years: 18 days

    • After 6 years: 20 days (maximum)

  • Note: March 21 of each year is the cutoff date for calculating annual-leave accrual.
  • Example: An employee (A) joins on October 1, 2024, with an initial entitlement of 10 days.

On March 21, 2025, A accrues 11 additional days, for a total of 21 days

  • Special Cases:
Interns who leave after three years, or Technical Intern Trainees (“Tokutei”) who return to Philippines to claim pension benefits and later come back, may not be eligible for carryover. Please consult the office staff for details.

Recently, there have been many complaints regarding the classification and disposal of garbage at Peach House (ピーチハウス). Therefore, all residents of Peach House are requested to read the following information carefully and comply with the regulations. If you have any questions, please ask the office; do not litter. Here is how to classify and dispose of garbage:

1. HOW TO CLASSIFY GARBAGE
2. GARBAGE COLLECTION SCHEDULE AND DISPOSAL RULES

◆ HOW TO DISPOSE OF GARBAGE
Burnable garbage: Use the yellow bag designated by the city
Non-burnable garbage: Use the dark green bag designated by the city.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES: Garbage must be placed at the designated collection area between the night before and 8:30 AM on the collection day. Do NOT put garbage out too early or leave it overnight more than necessary. Dormitory Cleaning Notice

Dear All,

As the long holiday approaches and a new year dawns, it’s the perfect time to reconnect with the spirit of renewal and growth. Just as the earth cleanses itself with the changing seasons, let us clean our dormitory together to welcome the fresh energy of the new year.

By clearing away the dust and clutter, we let go of the burdens of the past year, creating space for peace and positivity to flourish. This act of care not only refreshes our surroundings but also nurtures our souls, just like nature does when it renews itself.

Though cleaning may require effort, it’s a meaningful way to contribute to a harmonious living environment and will be warmly appreciated by all.

Thank you for joining in this beautiful tradition of renewal. Let’s embrace the new year with clarity and joy!

With gratitude,

End-of-Year Safety and Etiquette Reminders

English

Tagalog

Reminder for the End of the Year

When heading out, don’t forget to bring your ID card. Be extra careful with your wallet, purse, and important cards like IDs or bank cards. Losing them can be a hassle, especially with how busy things get at the end of the year.

If you’re not using a room, make sure to turn off all electrical devices to save energy and stay safe.

Let’s be mindful of our neighbors! Avoid making loud noise from karaoke, music, gaming, or parties that might disturb others.

Stay away from gambling, lottery games, betting, or similar activities—nothing good ever comes of it!

It’s best not to host outdoor parties during the dry winter months since the risk of fire is higher.

Bicycle theft tends to increase this time of year, so keep an eye on your belongings. Even in dorms, make sure your personal items are secure.

Recently, traffic laws have changed, so keep these in mind:

Don’t cycle if you’ve been drinking.

Avoid using your phone while riding.

If an accident happens, let the union or company know right away. It’s always better to handle things openly.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and peaceful New Year!
