Everyone’s annual leave can be carried over each year, provided the following condition is met:

Unexpected absences must not exceed an average of 49 days per year, meaning you must work at least 80% of total working days—regardless of the reason.
Annual Leave Entitlement by Year of Service

On joining the company: 10 days

After 1 year: 11 days

After 2 years: 12 days

After 3 years: 14 days

After 4 years: 16 days

After 5 years: 18 days

After 6 years: 20 days (maximum)

- Note: March 21 of each year is the cutoff date for calculating annual-leave accrual.
Example: An employee (A) joins on October 1, 2024, with an initial entitlement of 10 days.
On March 21, 2025, A accrues 11 additional days, for a total of 21 days.
Special Cases:
Interns who leave after three years, or Technical Intern Trainees (“Tokutei”) who return to Philippines to claim pension benefits and later come back, may not be eligible for carryover. Please consult the office staff for details.
